The pedals from the VOX VALVENERGY series are extremely versatile, analog preamps for guitar, all of which are equipped with the innovative Nutube tube technology and therefore deliver the sound, response and feel of conventional tube amplifiers. The pedals have three different operating modes for different purposes: as a distortion pedal in front of the amp, as a full-fledged preamp for connection to the return input of an amp or to a power amplifier that is connected to guitar speakers, or completely stand-alone as a preamp with its own Speaker simulation for direct connection to a mixer, PA or DAW. In the middle of the high-quality metal housing of the pedals is an OLED display that shows the waveform of the guitar signal passing through in real time and thus also provides visual feedback about the respective sound settings.

A particularly clever feature of the series is the newly developed CHANNEL SWITCH function. This makes it possible to connect several pedals from the VALVENERGY series to one another using a separate cable. Once this connection is established, activating one VALVENERGY pedal will automatically deactivate all other VALVENERGY pedals. This simulates switching channels on a multi-channel amp and the sound can be changed with just a single press of the foot switch, which is of course particularly advantageous for live use.

The VALVENERGY CUTTING EDGE is the high-gain monster among the preamps in the VALVENERGY series and delivers brutal sounds for thundering metal riffs and screaming leads. The pedal is equipped with a 3-band EQ and an additional "tight" control, which can be used, for example, to achieve a more defined sound during fast palm muting passages.
