NUX Multi-Effects guitar multi-effects pedal, CERBERUS
Guitar multi-effects pedal, analog overdrive + distortion, digital modulation + delay, midi-con
Cerberus is a multi-function effects pedal that can be used standalone or with the 4-cable method and comes bundled with exceptional features such as internal routing, IR loader, analog overdrive & distortion and digital effects.
Every feature is another reason to want the Cerberus!
Cerberus is a multi-function effects pedal that can be used alone or with the 4-cable method and is equipped with exceptional features such as internal routing, IR loader, analog overdrive & distortion and digital effects.
You can use Cerberus as a standalone device to prepare your setup and controls as a stomp box chain and/or save all combinations including routing as preset and recall with a single click. You can build your most important effects into the chain using the 4-cable method, no matter what devices you use. Cerberus also offers MIDI control to organize your own effects pedals while improving your effects control.
We have put together 2 selected analog drive/distortion pedals, modulation effects as well as delay and reverb effects. All of these sounds and effects have been compiled from both classic and the most popular new effect devices.
Analog effects:
Overdrive (Blues Breaker): The Cerberus Overdrive sound pays homage to the '70s Little Wing/Hendrix playing style. The technology only emerged about 10 years ago, but it quickly became one of the most popular overdrive tones on the market. The Overdrive channel simply takes your guitar tone to the next level without adding midrange frequencies or other unwanted characteristics. The “Tube Screamer Style” circuits provide a transparent overdrive sound. Any pedal can sound amazing, but when creating an effects chain, harmonizing the sound is crucial for maximum efficiency.
Distortion (Brown Anger): If you prefer high gain distortion with a classic British feel, rich bass response, thick midrange frequencies and balanced treble response, Cerberus Distortion will soon become one of your favorite sounds of all time. We also considered compatibility regarding the Overdrive and Distortion channels. Whether you use distortion standalone or combine it with overdrive, when you press your distortion switch you'll feel the classic JCM touch in your sound.
The Drive Section has analog circuitry with digital control parameters and remains analog (AD/DA converter starts from MOD FX section).
Modulation effects:
Tremolo: Producing authentic vintage tremolo guitar tones, Cerberus Tremolo is an easy-to-use compact effect, yet offers wide parameters for precise effect customization.
Phaser: Warm, organic and rarely hard, it is an orange phaser. From simple and warm to melodic character?
Cerberus' Phaser is a sleepy psychedelic swirl with rich high-end harmonic sound.
U-Vibe: For guitarists who really love the swirly vibes sound - especially in "Vintage" mode, Cerberus' U-Vibe packs a massive swirl. More than the "feeling the U-Vibe" sound you want to jump on. We made sure that our U-Vibe effect included the classic favorites. The Cerberus actually has them.
Chorus (CE - Analogue, SC - Digital, ST - Modern)
CE Chorus: This type of chorus comes from the early years of the chorus effect. There is no other vintage sound without an analog chorus touch.
SC Chorus: SC Chorus adds a dreamy chorus sound and creates an ambient guitar tone. This is another alternative chorus if you like a digital touch and want to create and put together a chorus effect.
ST Chorus: This is the most common chorus effect. Cerberus ST Chorus fills in the gaps to complete your sound, from clean arpeggios to power chords with strumming and fat drive to sparkling distortion-killing solos.
Delay (60s, 70s and 80s)
60 Delay (Tape Echo) 55 ms - 550 ms: Tape echo effects that never get old. We selected a heavy lift tape echo and scaled it down to add one of the delay modes in Cerberus. The 60s Delay mode lets you create aged, oversaturated repeats - just like the tape does!
70's Delay (BBD) 40ms - 400ms: This mode can meet all or your performance needs if you prefer analog repeats. It has reduced modulation so you can really feel the popular analog BBD sound repeating.
80s Delay (Digital Delay) 80ms - 800ms: 80s Delay sounds fantastic and is super easy to use. Because of its simplicity, it is the best mode if you already use modulation effects and just want crystal clear repeats.
TAP SPEED
All delay effects deliver an original tone and each has its own delay speed range. When TAP TEMPO is enabled, the time knob controls repeat quantization and the TAP TEMPO delay range is 125ms - 1500ms for all delay types. And while adjusting the time knob, you can keep the original delay time range to create infinite feedback, run-away/oscillations as physical tape echo and BBD delay.
Reverb (Plate, Hall and Spring)
Plate Reverb: Plate Reverb helps you hear the hint of reverb. If you need deep ambience, long decay parameters will give you the deepest, but also most versatile and organic reverb sound.
Hall Reverb: It offers the spacious feel of a well-structured performance hall with natural reflections in a studio-quality reverb effect.
Spring Reverb: Based on a tank tone, get the warmth and richness of a vintage reverb with Cerberus' Spring Reverb feature.
Impulse Response Loader
Cerberus has stereo outputs: One is a dedicated output with speaker simulation for direct connection to the mixer or your audio interface. If you use both outputs, you can activate or deactivate them by pressing the Speaker Cab Sim button. This is convenient when using 2 amplifiers. The headphone output has cabinet simulation and is ready to play. It can also run third-party IR files.
Cerberus IR Loader Features and Requirements:
Built-in IR: High quality 4x12 closed-back housing
no latency
44.1 kHz sampling rate, 4 bits
Maximum resolution: 512 samples
Nux-Werks cabinets and third-party IR files can be loaded into Cerberus via the Cerberus Editor software (see support page).
4 Connection of cable method
You can connect your pedals from all vintages to Cerberus by placing them between analog and digital sections. You can use any combination of amplifiers or pedals.
More functions
A built-in loop switcher, IR loader, kill-dry function, 0-20dB volume control and precise tuner in an easy-to-use floor unit. Excellent sound, ultimate flexibility, easy controls and extreme portability make Cerberus ideal for all gamers. It also has an additional footswitch for the selected functions of your choice and you can also connect an expression pedal while it becomes a volume control before the digital section.
The control switch can be assigned as Reverb, Mod FX, Drive Section Bypass or Clean Boost (0 dB - 20 dB).
MIDI implementation/global settings
If you use MIDI compatible pedals and stompboxes, they are extremely practical in combination with rack processors
or even a guitar effects software. Cerberus provides complete MIDI implementations that you can use and combine with any MIDI supported device.
