The YY10 features an alder Talman body bolted to a U-shaped maple neck with a 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a vintage-style six-screw Wilkinson WV6-SB, a set of three Seymour Duncan five-two single-coil pickups mounted in a white pickguard, a bone nut, and Gotoh locking tuners .
It is the first signature guitar model for Yvette Young, frontwoman of the American math rock band Covet. Young is the second artist to have a signature Ibanez guitar, joining Nita Strauss.
