A special feature of the new EC2S heads is the sound shaping technology newly developed by Evans. This technology makes it possible to provide each skin with individual cushioning depending on its size. The damping material is not glued on, but is incorporated directly into the fur and varies in thickness and width depending on the fur diameter. Thanks to this individual damping, the new EC2S heads have more tone, sustain and a crisp attack. In addition, the new EC2S impress with a larger vocal range and dynamic range.
